TOWN OF FAYETTE, Wis. -- Law enforcement and the Green County Humane Society seized more than 40 dogs Tuesday morning that they said were being neglected.
Lafayette County Sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant at around 9:12 a.m. at an address in the 9400 block of County Highway G in the Town of Fayette.
Along with the dogs, one car was also seized. Lafayette County Sheriff Reg Gill said the dogs were of various breeds and in various degrees of neglect.
A 74-year-old woman was arrested on charges of animal neglect and taken to the Lafayette County Jail.
