Organizations in the Upstate with a focus on food, shelter and stability resources are asking for the community's support as they juggle the lasting impacts of the government shutdown and a rise in demand during the holidays.

The end of the government shutdown and the resumption of federal aid provided immediate relief to many families who were waiting with bated breath when SNAP benefits took a pause.

Weeks after the decision was made, communities attempt to return to a sense of normalcy, but the approaching holidays mount pressure on an already tense scene.
