ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -City Academy in north St. Louis held its Thanksgiving Parade on Tuesday.
The parade was held indoors due to the morning rain. This year, there were performances by the school’s step team and a team of dancing Santas.
Organizing the parade takes months of preparation with the younger kids working on the balloons and floats. The older kids practice their dance moves.
“I think they learn a sense of pride first in being a city academy student, second, that we can present in front of everyone, they also learn how to collaborate, also learn how to think beyond the classroom,” said Rochelle Bain, a teacher at City Academy.
