A Waterford Township man is in jail after authorities said he threatened to "put a bullet" in the head of a state GOP youth official and to open fire at the Oakland County GOP headquarters.

Members of the Oakland County Republican party reported the threats to Bloomfield Township police Saturday, authorities said, saying a Facebook user, later identified as Ryan Lewis Vallance, 34, had made violent threats against the county Republican Party, as well as Michigan Youth Chair Krish Mathrani.
