BUFFALO, N.Y. — Western New York has welcomed refugees from all over the world in recent years through our four local resettlement agencies.
But now a potential new Trump Administration policy is raising concerns for recent refugees here in the US.
In past years there were Thanksgiving celebratory meals at Buffalo's International Institute as refugees and their families enjoyed and learned about a U.S. tradition.

However as we approach another Thanksgiving another proposed change in the U.S. immigration system may be looming with reports of a November 21st White House memo calling for review of the legal status and process for legal admittance of up to 200,000 refugees who came to the U.S. starting in 2021.
