PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Target is launching aggressive Black Friday promotions this weekend as the retailer works to recover from declining sales and stock performance .
Jason Anderson, a Target store director, said the company is positioning Black Friday as a major shopping event.
“Black Friday is back, right? Like, it is a fun time of year. It’s kind of a kickoff to the holiday season. And we’re going to make it that way in the store,” Anderson said.
The retailer is offering discounts up to 50% on toys, electronics, tech and small appliances. Clothing items, including sweats, sweatshirts and jeans, are marked down up to 40%.
“Just some really, really good buys throughout the store,” Anderson said.
