A recent outbreak of illnesses across the equine industry has horse owners understandably concerned. Equine herpesvirus-1 (EHV-1) is the virus behind the current situation. While EHV-1 most often causes respiratory disease, certain strains can lead to neurologic illness known as Equine Herpesvirus Myeloencephalopathy (EHM).
