Dallas Mavericks big man Dereck Lively II will miss at least three more games due to swelling and discomfort in his right foot, the team said Tuesday.
Lively has missed the past two games. He will re-evaluated in seven to 10 days.
The 7-foot-1 Lively was bothered by the same foot last season when he was limited to 36 games. He underwent offseason surgery to remove bone spurs from the foot.
The 21-year-old has appeared in just seven games this season, averaging 4.3 points and 5.3 rebounds. He hasn’t played more than 21 minutes while averaging 16.4 minutes per game and starting four times.
His last appearance was Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans when he had four points and four rebounds in 18 minutes.
