LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Families in west Louisville are getting the chance to celebrate Thanksgiving a few days early.
Neighborhood House is hosting its 20th annual Thanksgiving Meal.
Families were able to stop by the community center in Portland on Tuesday to enjoy a homemade meal.
"We wanted to make sure that each of the kids at least got a Thanksgiving with real food... homemade that they could eat and that it was healthy and nutritional, so we didn't have to worry about them when we were gone over the weekend," said Melinda Dennis, director of Child Development Center at Neighborhood House.
Dinner will be served Tuesday night to school-age children and their families.
