EAST GRAND FORKS – East Grand Forks City Council members on Tuesday considered early estimates for the 2026 budget, with initial numbers showing about $14.1 million in revenue and about $14.8 million in expenditures.

City Administrator Reid Huttunen and Finance Director Karla Anderson presented the initial budget during the council’s work session.

With ongoing negotiations, there are some changes to things like health insurance and employee wages that could still happen, Huttunen said.

“As we have it today, this is kind of our best snapshot of what the budget looks like," he said.
