KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The high school football season is coming to an end, as the state semifinals are upon us. We have seven area teams fighting for a spot in their classifications.
1A - Coalfield vs. South Pittsburg
Coalfield has a tough task ahead of them as they play host to one of the biggest powerhouses in Class 1A, South Pittsburg. The Pirates are looking to go reach the state championship game for the fifth time in six years. If Coalfield wins, they would be in the state title game for only the second time ever. The Yellow Jackets lost to Union City in 2014.
2A - Eagleton vs. Marion County
