HAWAII NATIONAL PARK (HawaiiNewsNow) - Episode 37 of Kilauea’s eruption officially began Tuesday afternoon.

Massive lava fountains began shooting out of the north vent inside Halemaumau Crater at 2:30 p.m. with sustained heights of about 400 feet.

Scientists say those geysers are predicted to get higher.

Along with the lava is a whole lot of vog.

According to the National Weather Service, winds are light and blowing from the northeast direction, which suggests that volcanic gas emissions and volcanic material may be distributed towards the southwest, but could spread more widely.
