MOUNTAIN VIEW, Hawaii (Island News) -- Police arrested a man following a fatal shooting that took place outside of a mini mart in Mountain View on Tuesday.

Hawaii Island police opened a murder investigation after a man was shot multiple times in the parking lot of Mt View Mini Mart. Officers responded to the scene shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 25 where callers also reported that the suspect was still there with a gun.

Once arriving at the mini mart, police arrested Joseph Davis, a 40-year-old man who resides in Volcano, for second-degree murder. The suspect had a small zippered bag which witnesses said they saw him put a gun into after the shooting. Police then seized the bag through a search warrant.
