MADISON, Wis. -- A Sun Prairie man was declared AWOL from the jail diversion program on Tuesday night, according to the Dane County Sheriff's Office.

Richard Vanderbloemen, 43, was last seen just after 7:15 p.m. where deputies monitoring the program received an alert from his GPS bracelet and responded to check on him. Vanderbloemen had cut his bracelet and left it outside.

The sheriff's office said his last known location was in the area of W Main Street and Clarmar Drive in Sun Prairie. Vanderbloemen is 6 feet, 4 inches and approximately 180lbs, he has a goatee, and was last seen to be wearing a grey sweatshirt, black pants, and a winter cap on his head. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Dane County Communications Center at 608-255-2345.
