Hopps and Wilde are back on the case in "Zootopia 2," a slightly more labored sequel to the 2016 hit animated comedy which uses an all-animal world as a vehicle for lessons about prejudice and tolerance.
Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) is a sweet-natured bunny detective, Wilde (Jason Bateman) is her sly fox partner. Together, they're in buddy cop mode as they work to crack a case involving the presence of snakes, who have long been banned from Zootopia proper.
Gary De'Snake (Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan) is a friendly viper trying to prove that snakes aren't bad, just misunderstood. His plan is to uncover a conspiracy that led to the banning of reptiles, which caused them to be viewed threateningly in the eyes of Zootopians.
It's a busy plot, but it allows for dozens of quickie jokes and
