DELAWARE COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office is investigating reports of objects being thrown from an overpass that cracked at least one driver’s windshield.

Ron Nelson was driving on Highway 20 Monday night with his wife when something struck their vehicle’s windshield, cracking it.

“I’d seen a bag in the window, and I swerved and missed it, and then all the sudden my wife screamed and something hit the window,” Nelson said.

Nelson’s wife called 911 and learned it wasn’t an isolated incident.

“They came back and talked to the wife and says ‘we just got a report of someone else reporting something falling from the overpass that they went under,’” Nelson said.
