ROSEVILLE, Calif. —

At least one deputy was involved in a shooting at a Placer County park on Tuesday evening, according to the sheriff's office.

The Placer County Sheriff's Office said it was investigating a deputy-involved shooting at Dry Creek Park on Walerga Road in West Roseville.

Law enforcement scanner traffic indicated the shooting occurred just before 7 p.m.

Officials advised the public to avoid the area.

The sheriff's office has not yet released any information about potential injuries.
