SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn — There's a new fire chief at the Waldens Creek Fire Department.
"When we go out to a call any time the tones drop, he's (Chief) the first out the door," Gabe Crawley, a firefighter, said.
The new Chief is Chief Blaze. A four-month-old Dalmatian puppy.
"He's kind of in charge of everybody around here when nobody knows it," Crawley said.
Crawley also happens to be Chief Blaze's owner, but Blaze has also made the station his official second home.
"He knows how to open all the doors now and where he needs to go and he's always running around," Crawley said.
Loved by everyone, even if he does eat some firefighters' shoes like Lieutenant Christian Ellard.
"He definitely loves the Crocs. He loves all of his chew toys, mainly the Crocs for sure," Ellard said.
