COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Bucky Ball was in full effect Tuesday, as the Texas A&M men’s basketball team routed Mississippi Valley State 120-84 in Reed Arena.
The Aggies’ 120 points were the most ever scored by A&M in Reed Arena and sit second all-time for points produced by an Aggie squad. A&M’s highest output is 127 scored against Houston Baptist during the 1975-76 season.
Here’s the game rundown:
Why did A&M win? It was another standout offensive performance against a less talented squad in Mississippi Valley State. Six Aggies finished with double-digit scoring in a game that A&M led from wire to wire.
The Aggies shot 50% from the field and 47% from 3-point range, hitting 16 shots from deep. A&M also got to the free-throw line 50 times, hitting 42 from the charity stripe.
