TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - We’ve all heard of Black Friday and the shopping sprees that come with it—but the Friday after Thanksgiving is just as busy for plumbers.

THat’s all because of what you may be pouring down your drain.

Henry Downey, service manager for Pioneer Plumbing , said they tend to see an influx in calls on Thanksgiving and the days following, and he’s taken plenty of them.

“I go to a lot of these calls on thanksgiving, and they’d have the turkey bones stuck in the garbage disposal, potatoes, stuff like that,” Downey said. “And it gets pretty hectic.”

Downey said this time of year, most people are making excess food and foods that they don’t normally prepare, and a lot of it could collapse and/or close your pipes.
