Ole Miss suffered its first loss of the season on Tuesday, falling to Iowa 74-69 in a hard-fought battle in the Acrisure Classic on the West Coast.

Preseason All-Big Ten guard Bennett Stirtz scored 29 points for the Hawkeyes (6-0) and hit 6 of 8 shots from behind the arc, giving the Rebels fits in all 40 minutes of the game. Meanwhile, AJ Storr was the go-to guy for the Rebels (5-1), putting 22 points on the board in the rock fight between two well-coached squads.
