Manila, Philippines – The UK is providing £1 million (PHP 77 million) in humanitarian assistance to support the Philippines’ response to Typhoons Tino and Uwan.
The funding will help provide life-saving services and essential supplies, including multi-purpose cash assistance and kits to repair damaged shelter, to some of the most affected communities.
British Ambassador Sarah Hulton OBE said:
The UK stands with the Philippines as a trusted partner to deliver practical solutions in times of need. This support drives recovery and strengthens communities for the future.
The assistance will support World Food Programme’s work with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to provide cash assistance, helping affected individuals meet their immediate needs.
