CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Zoo has opened a new gathering space called Magnolia’s Beer Garden.
The garden was created in memory of Beth Lapina, the beloved late wife of a long-time board member and Zoo supporter.
Mr. Lapina also served as board president during his years of involvement.
Zoo staff say the space honors Mrs. Lapina’s warmth, her love for the community, and the legacy she left behind.
They say the garden will offer a place for friends and families to gather, unwind, and enjoy the outdoors while supporting local breweries and the Zoo’s ongoing conservation work.
Director of Marketing and Communications Jake Cash says the project was made possible through support from those who knew and admired her.
“He did a little fundraising to help bring this together
