Liverpool will look to build on their win over Real Madrid as they host PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League tonight.

While the Reds’ struggles this season are well documented, results and performances in Europe have, at least, provided supporters cause for optimism.

The only low point was 1-0 defeat against Galatasaray on matchweek two as Liverpool have beaten both Madrid clubs as well as putting five past Eintracht Frankfurt away from home.

However, victory over Los Blancos three weeks ago has since been followed up by back-to-back 3-0 losses to Manchester City and Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

Therefore, Arne Slot’s side will be desperate to get back to winning ways and there is added incentive of avenging last season’s defeat by PSV.
