HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Rain lingers today with cooler temperatures as compared to the first half of the week.

DISCUSSION:

High temperatures in the middle of the week will begin early in the day but are expected to drop as we move into the afternoon and overnight hours. Lingering chances of rain will persist into Wednesday, but by the afternoon, all rain should clear out. Partly cloudy skies will take over for the remainder of the day.

Thursday is expected to be nice and dry, with mostly sunny skies. However, temperatures will continue to drop, with highs on Thanksgiving only reaching the low 40s. Cooling will continue on Friday, with high temperatures in the upper 30s and low 40s under partly cloudy skies.

The weekend will start off dry, but rain is expected to return late Saturday. High
