Illinois College won Game 1 by a score of 1–0, with Petrovich taking the final seven stocks while down to his last life. Wayne State came back to win Game 2, but Illinois College responded by winning Game 3. Again, Petrovich secured the victory by taking seven straight stocks and finishing with three stocks remaining over Wayne State’s last player.
