Illinois College’s esports team has advanced to the NECC Rocket League Grand Finals after a 4–2 semifinal victory over Waldorf University on Wednesday night in Jacksonville, Illinois.

The match began with Illinois College losing a close first game 3–4. The team responded by winning the next three games with scores of 2–1, 4–1, and 3–2. Waldorf managed to extend the series by taking Game 5 with a score of 3–0. However, Illinois College secured its place in the finals by closing out the series with a decisive 3–0 win in Game 6.

Players Glenn Conway, Dwight Duijneveld, and Lucas Barry led Illinois College in goals, assists, saves, and shots throughout the match. Their performance included maintaining possession for extended periods and keeping offensive pressure on Waldorf University.
