Sure, you can go into a store and buy a Christmas tree that's already decked out with lights and toss it up in the living room for the holiday season.
But some people still want that Clark Griswold family experience of going out in the cold weather and picking a tree that will bring some nature to the inside of the house.
And in the Tri-State, there are still a handful of places you can pick out your tree and have it cut down and then strapped to your car for a trip to the old homestead.
One of those places is Sycamore Valley Tree Farm at 7120 New Harmony Road in Evansville. It's a family-owned tree farm that has been in business since 1956. Several generations of the Niehaus family have worked at the farm, and the property has been in the family since 1850.
