UNLV forward Kimani Hamilton out-scrapped a pair of Alabama big men for an offensive rebound near the baseline and then elevated over them for a rim-rattling two-handed dunk midway through the first half of the teams’ game Tuesday night.

The Rebels showed flashes of being able to hang with one of the nation’s best college basketball teams at MGM Grand Garden Arena in their second game as part of the Players Era Championship.

They just couldn’t sustain them, especially in the second half, as Alabama rolled to a 115-76 victory.

“They’re really good, made some great threes,” Pastner said. “I just thought we were small out there compared to them, compared to an SEC team. It just kind of avalanched a little bit there here and there. It was just one of those nights.”
