26 years in the making: Partners open I-295 in Fayetteville together Myron B. Pitts

The Fayetteville Outer Loop, aka Interstate 295, has completed its long journey in construction: Some 26 years.

Officials with the state transportation department, city, county, Fort Bragg and just fans of the road showed up to cut the ribbon morning of Nov. 25.

I recall the weather was sunny and mild. I recall very well because it was Tuesday.
