Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters have been dispatched to central London to battle a blaze. Emergency crews were scrambled to Theobalds Road in Holborn on Wednesday morning (November 26) after reports of a fire came flooding in.
The London Fire Brigade have confirmed that the source of blaze is in an underground utilities tunnel. However, the cause of the fire is currently unknown.
Social media footage reveals dense smoke billowing across the street, with one X user posting: "Massive smoke clouds in Central London near Holborn station," reports the Express .
