Parts of the UK will be battered by strong winds tomorrow as a 19-hour weather warning comes into effect.
The Met Office has issued a yellow wind alert for the Highlands and Eilean Siar, Orkney and Shetland and Strathclyde for Thursday and Friday. Strong winds are expected to sweep through the regions, arriving at around 4pm on Thursday and lashing areas until 11am on Friday.
The warning was put in place on Wednesday, with a Met Office forecast reading: "Very strong southwesterly winds will develop during Thursday evening, continuing overnight before easing from the west through Friday morning. Gusts of 60-70 mph are likely, with a few plac
