Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna picked out Kasey McAteer for praise following last night's 2-0 win at Hull City.

The Irish winger has made an underwhelming start to life with the Blues following an £11.5m switch from Leicester City.

But the 24-year-old, making his sixth start for the club, played an important role in securing a hard-fought victory that has lifted Town up to fourth in the Championship table.

With Jaden Philogene and Chuba Akpom stepping off the bench to get an assist and goal respectively, McKenna said: "That's one of the most important things in a league that has 46 games. It's why we want to have a strong squad.
