Rachel Reeves' 'make or break' Budget will result in lower than projected growth across the UK for four years as Labour's financial credentials took yet another hit amid a circus of leaks and deflection this lunchtime.

The Chancellor suffered yet another embarrassment as the independent Office for Budget Responsibility appeared to leak details of her entire Budget more than half an hour before she had delivered it to the Commons on Wednesday.

The UK’s economy will grow more slowly than predicted over the next four years, according to a forecast that was published early in a Budget blunder.

The OBR forecast gross domestic product would grow by 1.5% this year, an increase from its earlier 1% forecast.
