Katy Perry is asking for nearly $5 million in damages from the former owner of her $15 million Montecito mansion as a long-running legal fight over the property continues. According to a court filing dated Nov. 21 and obtained by PEOPLE, the singer is requesting a total of $4,718,698.95 from entrepreneur Carl Westcott.
The filing states that Katy Perry is “entitled to $3,525,000 in rental value,” which she claims was lost because of the dispute. She is also seeking “$1,343,401.95 for necessary repairs,” bringing the total request to $4,868,401.95. After applying an offset of $149,703 for losses claimed by Westcott, the amount Perry is now pursuing sits just under $4.72 million.
