As reported in this column this past Saturday morning, Carney and Premier Danielle Smith have come to an agreement, a deal, a memorandum of understanding of great importance to Alberta.

The report took awhile to reach central Canada since news isn’t really news, even if it is about Alberta, until the self-styled smart set in Toronto and Ottawa say it’s news.

This agreement will lay out a road map to how a new pipeline to B.C.’s northwest coast could become reality.

There will be hoops a pipeline project will have to jump through to get the green light. There will be some concessions the Carney government is said to be willing to make.
