AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Amarillo police say one man is dead after a crash near I-27 and Moss Lane in the Wolflin area on Tuesday night.
The crash occurred around 5:39 p.m.
Officers were called to the area of I-27 on a major crash involving a Chevrolet Tahoe and a parked semi-trailer.
Officials say the driver of the Tahoe was identified as 65-year-old Craig Steven Long.
Long was driving southbound on Canyon Drive.
Police say the Tahoe suddenly left the highway, went down the grassy embankment, and struck a semi-trailer that was being stored inside the fenced-in lot at 3852 Canyon Drive.
According to officials, Long died at the scene.
Randall County Justice of the Peace Crump was notified and responded.
Judge Crump ordered an autopsy.
