This year, BBC viewers will be treated to two festive episodes of Call the Midwife once again.

In March this year, Call the Midwife wrapped up in a dramatic fashion as BBC viewers witnessed a wedding, a birth and a couple sharing their first kiss, marking the end of series 14.

Now, the anticipation is nearly over as fans will once again return to Poplar for the much-loved Christmas special, with two episodes set to air during the festive season.

This follows last year's decision to split the seasonal episode into two parts for the first time, with one broadcast on Christmas Day and the other on Boxing Day .

Once more, viewers are being treated to a double dose of the popular period drama, although it seems there's drama in store for the characters.
