If you know Frederick, Fred or Rick Massie, whatever monicker is appropriately suitable to him at the time, you probably know his love of music. So it surprise few that when he was ready to make a meaningful statement he would use the title of a song to do it.

In this case, George Harrison's classic, "All Things Must Pass."

In a letter to his colleagues delivered Monday evening, Nov. 24, at the body's meeting and in a subsequent interview with The Times-Gazette, Massie announced his intention to step away from the Warren Planning Board after 17 years and upon the conclusion of his current term in December.
