(Marion) — Bouncing back from Monday’s loss, the Marion Lady Bulldogs returned to their winning ways with a 37-32 victory over Rocksprings on Tuesday at Marion High School.
Marion led wire-to-wire, building a double-digit lead in the first half and maintaining control throughout. Junior Whitley Wiatrek poured in 20 points to pace the Lady Bulldogs, while senior Shadie Rabenaldt added seven.
First-year Marion girls coach Lucas Chapman discussed the duo after the win.
“They’re two of our better ballhandlers, so we’re trying to put the ball in their hands and let them play a little bit,” Chapman said. “They do a good job, especially Shadie, of distributing the ball and finding open people.”
The Lady Bulldogs improve to 4-1 on the season. They’ll be off for the Thanksgiving holiday before
