REX, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A 2-month-old boy who was abducted from Clayton County that initiated an Amber Alert on Tuesday has been found safe in Nashville.
The child’s father, 25-year-old Tariq Williams, was arrested in connection with the abduction in Tennessee, according to the Clayton County Police Department.
Police said Williams is believed to have assaulted the child’s mother and taken her silver 2017 Volkswagen Passat.
Williams is accused of kidnapping, false imprisonment, simple battery, theft by taking a motor vehicle, interference with a 911 call and third-degree cruelty to children.
