Matalan is urgently recalling a number of items of baby clothing - as they pose a 'risk of injury'. The retail giant issued an urgent recall warning about the dungarees, rompers, and sweater sets after discovering they do not meet the requirement of British standard testing.
The product presents risk of injuries as some of the poppers have been incorrectly fitted and have rough edges. This means the product could lead to infants 'receiving cuts or scrapes'.
In light of this, Matalan is urging anyone who bought the clothing items to stop using them immediately and have pulled the product from their shelves - both online and in-store. Shoppers who bought the clothing items between July 13, 2025 and October 17
