HURST, Texas — North Texans will be able to catch a familiar high school marching band (and famous country musician) in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
L.D. Bell High School's Blue Raider Band is the only Texas band marching in this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The 300-member ensemble from Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD, directed by Suzanne Dell, will be among 11 marching bands performing in the iconic parade in New York.
"To be considered one of those and get this opportunity is just really cool,” Dell told KERA . “It’s something that I know I’ll never forget, and I don’t think any of our students are ever gonna forget.”
