The Farmers’ Almanac, which was first published in the early 1800s, is in its final days.
The 2026 edition is the final version, and the website was set to shut down in December.
The decision to end the publication “reflects the growing financial challenges of producing and distributing the Almanac in today’s chaotic media environment,” according to a Nov. 6 news release from the publication.
Sandi Duncan and Peter Geiger, the almanac’s editor and editor emeritus, respectively, signed an open letter thanking readers for their support through generations.
