Samuel Anderson has hinted at his future on the BBC series whilst confessing that he has never actually set foot on the Shetland Isles.

The actor, 42, joined the programme as procurator fiscal Matt Blake, taking over after Harry Lamont (Tibu Fortes) departed at the conclusion of the previous series.

His character has recently relocated to the region from a large city and possesses a pragmatic approach to his role. He exercises caution when wielding his authority, though this doesn't render him overly hesitant.
