FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — One person was killed and three others were injured when a car struck an ambulance traveling through a Fairfax County intersection with its lights and sirens activated.

Police said officers responded to the crash at Worldgate Drive and Alton Square shortly after 4 p.m. on Nov. 25.
The car’s passenger was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later pronounced dead, while the driver and two fire department personnel were transported with non-life-threatening injuries, WTTG reported.
