It’s Thanksgiving Eve and if you haven’t already packed the family into a car to drive over the pass for the holiday … you might’ve made the right choice.

Wednesday will prove a much better travel day to trek over the passes than Tuesday was, so last-minute drivers, pat yourselves on the back.

If you took off Tuesday, you might’ve time traveled briefly into the Christmas season. Snoqualmie Pass got about 6 inches of snow, while Stevens Pass saw up to 8, said National Weather Service meteorologist Jeff Michalski.

NWS Seattle had issued a winter weather advisory from 10 a.m. Tuesday through 4 a.m. Wednesday, warning that travel would be “very difficult.”
