MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Residents packed the cafeteria at Mountainview Elementary School on Nov. 18 as the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) presented long-awaited updates on the Greenbag Road Widening Project, a multi-phase effort expected to reshape one of Morgantown’s most congested corridors.
The drop-in style meeting allowed attendees to study maps, ask questions, and leave written comments. WVDOT Communications Director Brent Walker said the agency regularly holds such meetings as part of the federal NEPA process, adding that this one drew strong engagement from residents, business owners, and community stakeholders.
