WILDOMAR — Anthony Cabadas had a vision when he joined the football coaching staff at Cornerstone Christian.
And that outlook has become reality over the course of three years, the past two with Cabadas as the head coach.
The program had minimal postseason success prior to the arrival of Cadadas, with the Crusaders winning only two playoffs games between the 2001 and 2021 seasons. Cornerstone Christian suffered an opening-round loss in the 2022 playoffs, too, but the Crusaders continued to march forward. And the biggest step of all has come this season.
Friday night, Cornerstone Christian (11-0) looks to cap its undefeated season when the Crusaders play Flintridge Prep for the CIF Southern Section 8-Person, Division 1 championship at Murrieta Mesa High School. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
