The Nogales Apaches used smothering defensive pressure to overwhelm the Rio Rico Hawks and win Tuesday night’s girls basketball game at NHS, 57-29.
Rio Rico led 8-7 at the end of the first quarter, but the Apaches turned up the heat on their full-court press and took control of the game after that. NHS recorded 32 steals on the night, many coming off the press and resulting in transition baskets. ×
